You cannot beat this Detecto 439 for accuracy and consistency. Being an RN (retired), and also a Weight Watchers lecturer many years ago I'm very familiar with Detecto Products. Pleased with the scale; however, one important screw hole in the stem was evidently stripped during production and unable to be used. I have to be extremely careful when moving the scale at all. Must pick it up by the base while stabilizing the stem. Other than that, very pleased.

My scale if great, and I love it, but could be better. Also: -- The main section that gives it it's height had a small dent in it. -- At the top the spring was hooked to the side over the housing. It caused scratches, and of course, made it impossible to put together. -- I had problems with the height rod, and can not ues it. -- The direction sheet was useless.
