The scale is very easy to use and very flexible in what type of container to use. The plastic bowl does about everything we need and is also provides a good protective storage for the scale when not in use. If you have your container on the scale when it's turned on it will "zero out" the weight of your container or you can place the container on the scale after it's on and press the "Tare" button to zero out the container weight. Having a max weight of 11 pounds is also a big advantage when weighing out bulk material.

Great little scale. It comes with a plastic bowl, but you can use any bowl in your kitchen. We use this daily in our sandwich shop and are very happy with it. We've ordered 3 of them so far.
